‘Landmark’ tower in Westboro gets OMB approval

A Toronto developer’s bid to build a ‘landmark’ tower in Westboro gets approval from the Ontario Municipal Board for the extra height it sought.

Planned for the corner of Wellington Street West and Island Park Drive, a distinctive bronze and copper roof with spire-topped corner turret was deemed enough of a landmark feature to justify adding three storeys to the nine allowed by zoning. Full story
