RenoTour Parade of Homes (virtual)
Until fall 2026 — If you’re researching renovators for your own project, check out these 3D walk-throughs of Ottawa-area renovations, coach homes, additions and infill homes. They’re an opportunity to virtually see the work of several of Ottawa’s top renovators and in many cases include before and after comparisons and other details. Find out more.
Farmer’s markets
Until October — Several area farmers’ markets have resumed and run weekly until October. Find fresh produce, baked goods, crafts and more. Find where they are.

Home & garden tour
July 11 — Explore eight whimsical gardens and four unique homes located in Perth and the surrounding area at the 3rd annual Perth and District CFUW Home & Garden Tour. The tour pairs artisans and musicians with the stops as an added bonus. Tickets are $35 each. Details.
Repair Café
July 11 — Keep your household items out of the landfill by visiting a Repair Café. These events are free and will feature volunteer fixers and menders from the Ottawa Tool Library who will help repair items like electronics, textiles, small appliances, jewelry and more. Runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Richelieu-Vanier Community Centre. Details.
Garden tour
July 11-12 — Explore more than a dozen gardens on the fifth annual Blackburn Hamlet Garden Tour. This self-guided tour is free and includes musicians and artists at some of the stops. Cash donations for the Food Bank will be accepted at many locations. Details.
Household hazardous waste depot
July 25 — Got household hazardous waste that can’t go to landfill — paint, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals, etc.? The city is holding another one-day drop-off depot for residents at the Kanata Research Park, 373 Leggett Dr. Details.

Aug. 8 — Keep your household items out of the landfill by visiting a Repair Café. These events are free and will feature volunteer fixers and menders from the Ottawa Tool Library who will help repair items like electronics, textiles, small appliances, jewelry and more. Runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nepean Sportsplex. Details.

Aug. 8 — Got household hazardous waste that can’t go to landfill — paint, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals, etc.? The city is holding another one-day drop-off depot for residents at the Innes Snow Dump, 2170 Mer Bleue Rd. Details.
Garlic festival
Aug. 15-16 — The Carp Garlic Festival returns with two days of garlic-themed food, live music and family-friendly fun. It’s one of the region’s best-loved harvest festivals. Details.
Lowertown tour
Aug. 23 — Explore the rich history, architecture and stories behind some of Ottawa’s most fascinating neighbourhoods on a guided walking tour led by knowledgeable local experts with Heritage Ottawa. Details.
