One World Bazaar

Weekends until Nov. 17 — The One World Bazaar returns for its 20th anniversary in Ottawa (and 43rd in operation) this fall. Combining cultural events with food from around the world and, of course, thousands of handcrafted décor, jewelry, clothing and more that is ethically sourced directly from artisans across the globe, the bazaar lets you “experience the world under one roof.” It runs weekends from a renovated barn in Manotick Station. CHEO Dream of a Lifetime lottery & show home

Until Dec. 13 — The Dream of a Lifetime lottery fundraiser for CHEO launched Sept. 4. From then until Dec. 13, get your lottery ticket and take a tour of the grand prize dream home, which is designer-decorated and fully furnished.

RenoTour Parade of Homes (virtual)

Until fall 2025 — If you’re researching renovators for your own project, check out these 3D walk-throughs of Ottawa-area renovations, coach homes, additions and infill homes. They’re an opportunity to virtually see the work of several of Ottawa’s top renovators and in many cases include before and after comparisons and other details. Find out more.

Signatures Handmade Market

Oct. 17-20 — Find fabulous crafts from more than 130 Canadian artisans at this fall fair, including home decor, gift ideas and much more. You can also sip and snack while you shop and stroll. It’s at the Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne Park. Details.

Household hazardous waste depot

Oct. 19 — The City of Ottawa holds its second-last one-day waste depot of the season for household hazardous waste. It takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Strandherd Snow Dump Facility, 4061 Strandherd Dr. Keep household hazardous items out of landfill by taking part. Red Trillium Studio Tour

Oct. 19-20 — Enjoy a day (or two) exploring rural west Ottawa on this self-guided tour of several artist studios. Check the tour website for an updated list of the studios that will be included. Details.

Vankleek Hill Christmas Home Tour

Nov. 2 — After a four-year hiatus, this annual tour returns with six homes to see decorated for the holidays. Get ideas and see a mix of homes, both historic and recent, as this tour kicks off the holiday season. Find out more.

Household hazardous waste depot

Nov. 2 — It’s the final City of Ottawa one-day waste depot of the season for household hazardous waste. It takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Westbrook Snow Dump Facility, 200 Westbrook Rd. Ottawa Valley Weavers’ and Spinners’ Guild Sale and Exhibition

Nov. 2-3 — Check out this showcase of guild members’ artistry, hard work, innovation and expertise, with vendors at the Glebe Community Centre offering home decor items (and more) that include woven tea towels, table runners and napkins, handmade baskets, woven blankets, pillows and rugs and more. See demonstrations as well. Admission is free. Details.

Kanata Art Club Christmas $200 and Under Sale

Nov. 9-10 — Find great Christmas gift ideas at reasonable prices with art from various genres by Ottawa-area artists who are members of the Kanata Art Club. Admission is free; free refreshments. Details.

Homes for the Holidays

Nov. 15-17 — This annual house tour, which is a major fundraiser for Hospice Care Ottawa, combines beautiful homes across the city and seasonal decorating by several Ottawa florists. It’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit and get ideas for your own home. Details.

Itty Bitty Artisan and Art Show

Nov. 16-17 — See dozens of artists and artisans from the region showcase their original works priced under $200 at the Arts Carleton Place show. It’s at the Carleton Place arena and admission is free. Details.

Signatures Originals Christmas Craft Show

Dec. 4-8 — Check out curated handmade and handcrafted items from 180+ Canadian artists and artisans at this annual sale. Whether searching for your home or looking for gifts, you’re sure to find the perfect unique piece. It’s held at the EY Centre. Details.
