Cross-laminated timber (CLT)

Cross-laminated timber construction (CLT) is a form of engineered wood with a low carbon footprint and excellent thermal, acoustic and other properties. Several layers of kiln-dried lumber are stacked in alternating directions, bonded with structural adhesives and pressed to form a solid, straight, rectangular panel. CLT is often used for floor and roof assemblies. It can be left exposed or kept behind drywall.
