‘Let’s Dream’ Art Show
Until July 20 — Discover original works by local artists at the newly opened ACP Art Hub Gallery in Carleton Place. The summer show Let’s Dream features paintings, pottery, sculpture and more. Shop unique gifts, meet the artists and explore the in-gallery art supply nook. Details.
RenoTour Parade of Homes (virtual)
Until fall — If you’re researching renovators for your own project, check out these 3D walk-throughs of Ottawa-area renovations, coach homes, additions and infill homes. They’re an opportunity to virtually see the work of several of Ottawa’s top renovators and in many cases include before and after comparisons and other details. Find out more.
Seasonal farmers’ markets
Until October — Many of Eastern Ontario’s seasonal farmers’ markets resume as of May, often offering handcrafted decor along with fresh farm produce. Find a market near you through Farmers’ Markets Ontario.

Open Gardens
July 19 — Head to Maitland, Ont., for an idyllic stroll through two beautiful gardens at peak bloom, the Maitland Garden of Hope (a private 1.5-acre garden with a variety of themes) and Van Berlo Gardens ( a private 2.4-acre property with extensive gardens). Rain date is July 20. Details.
Household hazardous waste depot
July 26 — Got household hazardous waste that can’t go to landfill — paint, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals, etc.? The city is holding a one-day drop-off depot at the Canadian Tire Centre. Details.

Repair Café
Aug. 9 — The Ottawa Tool Library invites residents to drop in with a household item to be fixed or just to see all the excitement. There’s also a kids’ activity table, a selection of tools for sale from their webstore and snacks. This event takes place at Zibi (28 Booth St.). Details.

Sept. 20-21 — Explore Wellington West and Westboro as it plays host to the 30th anniversary of the West End Studio Tour. Check out the works of several artists in various media at more than a dozen studios. Details.

Oct. 2-5 — For all your home improvement projects, visit the Ottawa Fall Home Show to see hundreds of vendors, get inspired and hear industry experts present on the speaker’s stage. You can also vote for the All Things Home People’s Choice Award as part of the Ottawa Housing Design Awards. Details.
