Farmer’s markets
Until October — Several area farmers’ markets have resumed and run weekly until October. Find fresh produce, baked goods, crafts and more. Find where they are.
One World Bazaar
Weekends from Sept. 17-Nov. 22 — Discover a heritage barn packed with beautiful handmade goods from all over the planet and responsibly sourced — everything from clothing and jewelry to dishes, home decor and furniture. Details.

New Edinburgh tour
Sept. 13 — Discover the architectural charm and rich heritage of New Edinburgh on a guided walking tour by Heritage Ottawa. Explore picturesque streets, learn about the area’s origins as a mill town founded in 1832, and uncover the stories of the people who helped shape the community over generations. Visitors will gain a deeper appreciation for the neighbourhood’s unique character, historic landmarks and ongoing efforts to preserve its heritage. Details.
West End Studio Tour
Sept. 19-20 — Enjoy an annual tradition more than 30 years strong. This tour of art studios in Westboro, Wellington West and Hintonburg makes for a pleasant day of walking, biking or driving as you explore a variety of original works by area artists. There is no charge. Details.
Repair Café
Sept. 26 — Keep your household items out of the landfill by visiting a Repair Café. These events are free and will feature volunteer fixers and menders from the Ottawa Tool Library who will help repair items like electronics, textiles, small appliances, jewelry and more. Runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Zibi, 28 Booth St. Details.
Household hazardous waste depot
Sept. 26 — Got household hazardous waste that can’t go to landfill — paint, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals, etc.? The city is holding another one-day drop-off depot for residents at the Conroy Snow Dump, 3100 Conroy Rd. Details.
West End Studio Tour bonus weekend
Sept. 26-27 — Many of the studios that took part in the Sept. 19-20 tour will open again for a bonus weekend. Visit several art studios in Westboro, Wellington West and Hintonburg and explore a variety of original works by area artists. There is no charge. Details.
New Edinburgh Artist’s Studio Tour
Sept. 26-27 — Stroll, explore and be inspired as you visit 12 studios and 32 artists in the New Edinburgh neighbourhood. This free, self-guided tour showcases works in a variety of media. Details.

Ottawa Fall Home Show
Oct. 1-4 — Home improvement pros, expert advice, celebrity speakers: find it all at the Ottawa Fall Home Show, which features celebrity designer Sarah Richardson as the headline on the speaker’s stage. Details.
Expressions of Art
Oct. 3-4 — The West Carleton Arts Society presents the return of its Expressions of Art Sale, an exhibition and sale featuring the creative talents from the Ottawa region. Visitors can explore a wide selection of high-quality works, including fine art, woodwork, photography, and soapstone sculptures. Details.

Oct. 22-25 — Discover handcrafted Canadian home décor and more by 75+ artists and artisans at the Horticultural Building at Lansdowne Park. Also features live entertainment. Details.
