Seasonal farmers’ markets
Until October — Many of Eastern Ontario’s seasonal farmers’ markets resume as of May, often offering handcrafted decor along with fresh farm produce. Find a market near you through Farmers’ Markets Ontario.

BEING Studio art market
June 1 — Join the artists behind BEING Studio for their annual spring pop-up shop. Browse artworks, prints, ornaments and more. There will be snacks and beverages and admission is free. It’ being held at the group’s Bronson Centre studio. Details.
Summer Indigenous art market
June 6 — For six hours at the National Arts Centre, explore diverse work of Métis, Inuit and First Nations makers that includes paintings, sculptures and more at the Indigenous Art Market. Details.
Art in the Park
June 7-8 — More than 150 artists showcase their work in a park setting at Central Park off Clemow Avenue. Find works by painters, photographers, collage artists, sculptors, potters and more. Free admission. Details.
Repair Café
June 14 — The Ottawa Tool Library invites residents to drop in with a household item to be fixed or just to see all the excitement. There’s also a kids’ activity table, a selection of tools for sale from their webstore and snacks. This event takes place at Tom Brown Arena. Details.
Household hazardous waste depot
June 22 — Got household hazardous waste that can’t go to landfill — paint, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals, etc.? The city is holding a one-day drop-off depot at the Trail Waste Facility, 4475 Trail Rd. Details.

July 5 — The Ottawa Tool Library invites residents to drop in with a household item to be fixed or just to see all the excitement. There’s also a kids’ activity table, a selection of tools for sale from their webstore and snacks. This event takes place at Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre. Details.
Home & garden tour
July 12 — Explore 11 beautiful gardens and tour two historic homes at the Perth Home ang Garden Tour. From whimsical to traditional, the gardens include perennials, shrubs, trees and vegetables, with a range of plants from native to the exotic or uncommon, while the homes are unique ones located in the heart of the town. There’s also the option of a picnic lunch by the Tay River. Details.
