Ottawa Cottage Life & Backyard Show

Apr. 11-13 — Meet dozens of exhibitors showing docks, builders, contractors, innovative building products, green solutions, decor and style, arts and crafts, food and entertaining, water toys and more. Details.

Repair Café

Apr. 12 — The Ottawa Tool Library invites residents to drop in with a household item to be fixed or just to see all the excitement. There’s also a kids’ activity table, a selection of tools for sale from their webstore and snacks. This event takes place at Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Ave. W. Details.

Out of the Box fibre art show and sale

Apr. 25-26 — Find fibre artworks, quilts, décor and more at the Out of Box Fibre Fling 2025. Takes place at the Kitchissippi United Church and admission is free, but monetary donations are being accepted for the Ottawa Food Bank. Details.

Household hazardous waste depot

Apr. 27 — Got household hazardous waste that can’t go to landfill — paint, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals, etc.? The city is holding a one-day drop-off depot at Ottawa Stadium, 300 Coventry Rd. Details.

Art exhibition

May 2-4 — It’s the 20th anniversary for the Arts Carleton Place Fine Art Exhibition. Check out the works of 65 artists, offering creations in a variety of media. The event will be held in two locations in Carleton Place, with free admission and parking. Details.

Ottawa Clay Festival

May 2-4 — Discover the art of clay at the Ottawa Clay Festival. Explore handcrafted ceramics, shop for unique pottery and meet local artisans. Enjoy live demonstrations, a pottery throwdown, a juried exhibition, and a fun clay area for kids. Admission is free. Details.

Garden sale

May 18 — Celebrate spring at Orleans Blooms, where you can shop a variety of premium garden plants, get expert gardening tips and explore artwork from local artists. Kids can enjoy a fun, hands-on educational corner. The event will be held rain or shine at the Orléans Town Centre. Free admission. Details.

Great Glebe Garage Sale

May 24 — This popular community garage sale has been an annual event since 1986. It sees many Glebe residents taking part, with a treasure trove of pre-loved finds to be discovered for your home. Details.

May 24 — Got household hazardous waste that can’t go to landfill — paint, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals, etc.? The city is holding a one-day drop-off depot at Rideau Carleton Casino, 4837 Albion Rd. Details.

June 7-8 — More than 150 artists showcase their work in a park setting at Central Park off Clemow Avenue. Find works by painters, photographers, collage artists, sculptors, potters and more. Free admission. Details.
