The Meadows is a development of townhomes, bungalow singles, two-storey semi-detached and two-storey singles being built by Tamarack Homes in the south end of Barrhaven.
There are several models to visit, a mix of townhomes and two-storey singles. Here’s what you’ll see when you visit The Meadows model homes.
The St. James
One of Tamarack’s largest singles, the St. James sits on a 44-foot lot and offers about 4,300 square feet with the fully finished basement, which is shown in the model. It also shows both optional bedrooms — one in the basement and a guest suite on the main floor — for a total of six bedrooms, making this a good choice for a multi-generational family.
The main floor includes separate living and great rooms, a dining room with butler’s pantry connecting it to the kitchen and a breakfast nook, while upstairs there are four bedrooms (including the primary suite and a second suite with its own bathroom and walk-in closet), the main bathroom and a generous laundry room.
The Payton II
A two-storey single on a 38-foot lot, the Payton comes with four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and 3,130 square feet. The layout offers a formal living room and dining room up front and the kitchen and family room at the rear. A bonus is a roomy mudroom with a separate walk-in closet.
Upstairs, one of the secondary bedrooms has its own ensuite while the other two share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom.
The Camden
This end-unit townhome comes with 2,160 sq. ft., three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. It has an open-concept kitchen living and dining area on the main floor with a fireplace and a walk-in pantry.
Upstairs has a generous primary suite, two secondary bedrooms, a full laundry room with sink and the model shows the optional loft area. The home also comes with a finished basement rec room space.
The Abbey
The Abbey is an interior townhome and the smallest of the models at 1,855 sq. ft. A roomy foyer steps up into an open-concept L-shaped kitchen, dining room and living room with corner fireplace.
Upstairs is the primary suite with four-piece ensuite and walk-in closet, two secondary bedrooms, the main bathroom and a laundry room with linen closet. The basement also comes with a finished rec room.
The Samira
The Samira is a mid-sized townhome with 2,105 sq. ft., three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Like the other towns, it has an open-concept kitchen, dining room and living room with fireplace, but also includes a mud room.
Along with the three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second floor, the laundry room in this model includes both a sink and linen closet. And, of course, there’s a finished basement rec room.
The Harmony
The largest of the townhome models and another end unit is the Harmony, which comes with 2,285 sq. ft. An angled foyer (with a corner powder room) opens to either the main-floor living area or the basement stairs, creating a sense of privacy from the front door.
Available as either a three-bedroom with loft or a four-bedroom home, the model showcases the four-bedroom option, which still leaves room for a generous primary suite and second-floor laundry room. There’s also a large finished basement rec room.
