One World Bazaar

Until Nov. 23 — From free cultural programming to an endless range of international artisanal goods, the bazaar is open for 10 weekends. Using fair trade practices, the event at the Bakker family barn near Manotick provides artisans with a living wage while forging connections between customers from Ottawa and area with a unique international marketplace. Details.

Final household hazardous waste depot

Nov. 1 — The city’s final one-day waste depot of the year will be held at the Westbrook Snow Dump Facility,  200 Westbrook Rd. If you’ve got household hazardous waste that can’t go to landfill — paint, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals, etc., this is any excellent way to properly dispose of it. Details.

Christmas house tour

Nov. 8 — Tour six homes decorated inside and out for the holidays at the Vankleek Hill Christmas Home Tour. Historic homes ranging from the early 1800s to the early 1900s are paired with specialty vendors. Tickets are $35 each. Details.

Repair Café

Nov. 8 — The Ottawa Tool Library invites residents to drop in with a household item to be fixed or just to see all the excitement. It’s free and refreshments are available. It takes place at Zibi, 28 Booth St. Details.

Nov. 8-9 — Find unique and affordable gifts of art just in time for Christmas representing many genres, styles and subjects. It includes only original works in watercolour, oil, acrylic, mixed media, coloured pencil and graphite and more by members of the Kanata Art Club. Admission is free and refreshments will be offered. Nov. 8-9 — Discover original works by some of the region’s finest artists and artisans at this curated showcase presented by Arts Carleton Place and the Town of Carleton Place. Find a wide selection of unique, handcrafted creations — all priced under $200. Details.

Antiques, art and design fair

Nov. 8-9 — The National Capital Antiques Art & Design Fair is a curated event that brings together a select group of dealers showcasing exceptional examples of 18th- to 21st-century furniture, art and design. Admission is $10. Details.

Homes for the Holidays

Nov. 14-16 — The popular Homes for the Holidays house tour returns showcasing eight stunning Ottawa homes paired with local florists and decorated for the season. Details.

Glebe Craft and Artisan Fair

Nov. 15-16 — Featuring quality, locally made items, this fair is organized by the Glebe Neighbourhood Activities Group. Free entry. Details.

St. Pat’s craft fair

Nov. 22 — St. Pat’s Artisan & Craft Show features more than 125 local artisans and includes decor items such as paintings, artisan clocks, candles and more. Details.

Nov. 28-29 — The West Carleton Arts Society exhibition and sale showcases the creative talents of over 20 artists and artisans from the Ottawa region, including fine art, woodworking, photography and textile work. Details.
