A new upscale living option has come to Nepean with the opening of Richcraft’s Centrepointe Union.
The two-tower rental apartment complex offers a way for downsizers to stay in the neighbourhood they love, but is also appealing to young professionals, students at nearby Algonquin College and even families.
“We have a diverse mix of resident clients,” says Richcraft principal and director Monica Singhal. “They share a desire for quality living, safety and a sense of connection with those around them.”

Making a connection is a key element to what Centrepointe Union offers.
“It came down to intention in both design and end-user experience,” Singhal says in explaining what makes Centrepointe Union special. “The suites are larger than typical rentals, the finishes are high quality, and we included thoughtful amenities.
“What also sets it apart is the focus on how people experience the building day to day. Our resident experience co-ordinator plays a key role in that by curating programming, events and moments that help bring residents together and build a sense of community. More than anything, it reflects an approach focused on creating a place where people can build routines, relationships and a sense of belonging in a neighbourhood they already know.”
That approach seems to already be having an effect. The experience co-ordinator, Selena Lewis, says early tenants have said the buildings feel like more than simply a place to live. “I’ve heard from residents that it … feels like a hotel and a resort.”
Her goal is to create an atmosphere “that’s not just about living here. It’s more than that, kind of like family.” She does that by not only assisting residents with move-in but by organizing regular events and activities, such as coffee sourced from a local shop in the lobby or weekly yoga sessions, to help residents connect with each other and engage.

The buildings are 23 storeys (east tower) and 21 storeys (west tower) with a total of 422 units ranging from one to three bedrooms. The east tower has been leasing since January, while finishing touches are being added to the west tower. Richcraft held a grand opening event for the project on June 20 to officially introduce it to the community.
Singhal points to the area — the project is located on Centrepointe Drive just south of Baseline Road — as a well-established, transit-connected neighbourhood with strong community, parks, schools and amenities nearby. “What drew us to the site was the opportunity to bring a high-quality rental option into an area where people already want to live.”
There’s also a personal connection for Singhal and her family (her father founded Richcraft and she shares executive vice-president duties with her sister, Angela).
“Centerpointe Union is part of a community I care deeply about,” she says. “Having grown up in Nepean, I have joyful memories of living here and the schools I attended close by. We are grateful to contribute a new residential project to this amazing neighbourhood.”



Thoughtful design is evident throughout the look, feel and livability of the buildings, which were designed by Ottawa’s RLA Architecture with interiors by Toronto’s U31 and furniture staging by Maison Blonde, also of Ottawa. The underlying theme is a contemporary classic look that’s elevated and timeless.
A plethora of amenities are available to pamper and service residents, including a 24-hour concierge, fitness centre and yoga studio that overlook the ground-level outdoor pool and terrace, a kid’s corner, electronic games room, regular games room, pet washing station, bike maintenance station, car sharing program, two dining/entertaining rooms, theatre room, co-working space, guest suites and a massive outdoor terrace — it’s almost 25,000 square feet or more than half an acre — with multiple barbecues and lounges that tops the podium and connects both buildings.
The spaces are elegant and inviting, with a design continuity throughout that suggests a modern classic style.
“This building, I think, is the nicest one we’ve done for amenities,” says Shawn Bellman, Richcraft’s director of marketing. “Timeless is what we always shoot for; it’s got to be timeless because trends come and go.”

Unit features include nine-foot ceilings, quartz counters, appliances, in-suite washer and dryer, smart tech connectivity, luxury vinyl plank flooring, large windows and more.
“All the little details that we do from the outside of the doors to the common areas, all elevate the space that you’re coming into,” says Bellman.
The east tower is about 55 per cent leased so far. Units start at $1,820 a month and currently include leasing promotions.
