Quinn’s Pointe & Harmony model homes

There are 11 Quinn’s Pointe & Harmony model homes to see at Minto’s Barrhaven sales centre. A mix of single-family homes and towns, the model homes and sales centre serve Minto’s two communities in the area: Quinn’s Pointe and Harmony.

Quinn’s Pointe is a master-planned community that will ultimately see about 2,000 homes. Harmony was initially planned to be 238 homes, but that will increase as new land is developed.

We toured the model townhomes when they opened in 2020 (the singles opened in 2021) You can read about the tour here, but please note the Canal model in the tour is no longer open.

Here’s what you’ll see when you visit Quinn’s Pointe & Harmony model homes.

Another in Minto’s new lineup of three-storey, single-family homes, the 2,354-square-foor Astoria model features a traditional, Craftsman-inspired exterior with board and batten siding and an interior that blends a traditional theme with contemporary simplicity featuring neutral tones and occasional earthy greens.

The main floor’s foyer leads to a family room with a patio door opening to the rear yard. Natural wood tones and a dry bar cabinet enhance the relaxing family room.

The second storey features a two-tone kitchen with light-grey cabinetry and an island in a wood-grain finish. There’s a dining room with a classic oak table and brass light fixture next to the kitchen, a spacious living room with a nine-foot ceiling, and a den with its own window.

The 1,700-square-foot Kinghurst is a single-family home with three bedrooms on a 30-foot lot. The model was designed with young homebuyers in mind and features teal and fuschia accents, geometric shapes and vintage elements for a relaxing and almost retro vibe.

The open-concept main floor, which includes a den, has two-toned kitchen cabinets, a linear fireplace in the great room and distressed laminate flooring with a washed white tone. A Flex Plan option allows the den and great room to be separated with a dividing wall.

Upstairs, there’s red oak flooring, an oversized window in the front bedroom, which has been outfitted as an office in the model home, and an ensuite bathroom that repeats design features elsewhere in the home.

Tahoe End

The Tahoe End with 2,084 square feet and its optional fourth bedroom is the largest of the four executive townhome models at Barrhaven.

Extra windows in the end unit mean more natural light, helping to showcase the model’s rustic vibe, including earth tones, a textured brick backsplash, a barnboard coffee table and a live-edge dining table.

The high-gloss white kitchen cupboards and glass pendants balance the rustic flair with a touch of modern sleekness.

The Tahoe End is very much a family home, with a breakfast nook, a formal dining room and a mudroom for busy families.

The 1,768 square feet Haven is an interior unit but with its open-concept main floor and three bedrooms feels roomy and bright.

Vibrant colours, geometric shapes and comic book artwork make the on-trend, chic model one that’s been decorated for a couple without children.

The kitchen features upper flat-panelled cabinets in high-gloss black and light fixtures also in black. Upstairs, geometric shapes in the powder room and master ensuite tile add a lighthearted element.

The two secondary rooms are decorated as a guest bedroom and a home office, underscoring the couple the designers had in mind. The basement family room maximizes the home’s relaxation space.

Monterey End

The three-bedroom, 1,918-square-foot Monterrey End is airy and bright, thanks to the open-concept layout and the extra windows in both the dining room and powder room.

Designed with a downsizing couple in mind, the transitional styling features warm tones, clean lines with finishes that blend traditional choices in tiles, cabinetry, hardwood and carpeting with a colour scheme that showcases warm golds and creams with pale greys.

The master suite is roomy and, like the Haven, the two secondary rooms are decorated as a guest bedroom and a home office.

The basement family room feels like a main-floor space with ample room, loads of natural light and the optional powder room.
