Re-imagining your home starts with the 2026 RenoTour Parade of Homes. The annual home tour of stunning renovations and custom homes returns Sunday, Oct. 18, for its 12th year, and this year includes a twist: three supplier showrooms will open their doors to tourgoers for even more inspiration.
If you’re thinking of renovating or building a home, this free tour is a must. It’s an ideal way to research top Ottawa companies, see the quality of their work in person, and ask them your questions on the spot.
The tour is organized by the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA) and showcases the work of several members of RenoMark, a national program that identifies professional contractors who have signed on to the Canadian Home Builders’ Association RenoMark renovators code of conduct, which protects homeowners.
“RenoTour is about seeing what’s possible — and there’s something different about experiencing it in person,” says Jason Burggraaf, executive director of GOHBA. “Whether you’re stepping inside a transformed home or visiting a showroom, it’s a great way to find inspiration, ask questions and see firsthand what a professional can bring to your own home. RenoTour is a great opportunity to see what’s possible and connect with the professionals who can help bring ideas to life.”
The eight stops on this year’s tour include renovations ranging from a kitchen makeover to additions that transform inefficient floor plans, two custom homes that show off clever design details, and three showrooms offering a range of possibilities for kitchens, bathrooms, closets, staircases and more.
This year’s participants include:
Renovations
- Amsted Design-Build: A renovation and addition that transform a boxed-in home, opening and adding spaces and improving its flow (this is one of two projects Amsted is showcasing on this year’s tour).
- ARTium Design Build: A kitchen renovation that blends a timeless esthetic with aging-in-place features and abundant storage solutions.
- Lagois Design·Build·Renovate: A renovation and addition that seamlessly add a new primary suite and other updates to look like they have always been there.
Custom homes
- Amsted Design-Build: Amsted’s second stop on the tour is a custom home that blends welcoming gathering spaces with accessibility for a home that will meet the owners’ needs as they age.
- RND Construction: A contemporary custom home that’s certified net zero focuses on pairing design and functionality with energy efficiency.
Showrooms
- Accurate Stairs and Railings: Displays, materials, finishes and ideas.
- Laurysen Kitchens: A collection of fully built kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms and closets.
- Spectrum Kitchen & Bath Design: Several fully built kitchens, bathrooms and more, as well as various vignettes.
“What makes the tour so special is that finished renovations and custom homes aren’t normally open to the public. Photos are great but seeing it in person really helps you picture what’s possible for your own home,” says Stephanie Haw of Amsted Design-Build.
“It’s an immersive experience for homeowners, and a chance to get inspired, ask questions, and see the details up close. And for us, it’s a fun way to show off the craftsmanship, creativity and care that our team puts into every project.”
There is no charge for the one-day, self-guided tour, although some tour stops may be collecting charitable donations. The tour runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18. If you can’t make it to the in-person event, 3D virtual tours of most of the homes and showrooms will be available afterwards.

Homes
Amsted Design-Build: renovation and addition
This renovation shows how a rear addition completely reimagined a once-boxed-in home, creating a larger kitchen made for entertaining, a dedicated primary suite, gym space and a more open, functional flow throughout.
“It’s a great example of how a thoughtful addition can completely change the way a home is experienced,” says Haw.
The homeowners were able to gain valuable living space while creating a more functional and welcoming home that supports the way they want to live. “This project highlights how design can solve everyday challenges while creating beautiful spaces for gathering, entertaining and enjoying time at home.”
Amsted Design-Build: custom home
This custom infill was designed from the ground up around the homeowners’ lifestyle, both now and for years to come, says Haw. The two-storey design with finished basement features a welcoming mudroom, main-floor powder room, spacious kitchen with a butler’s kitchen and walk-in pantry, family room, formal dining room and an elevator for long-term accessibility.
Upstairs, each of the bedrooms has its own ensuite, while the finished basement adds recreation areas and a dedicated gym. “What makes the project especially unique is the balance between luxury and livability, with thoughtful details, quality craftsmanship and functionality considered throughout,” Haw says.
ARTium Design Build: kitchen renovation
Designed with the future in mind, this kitchen renovation seamlessly blends a timeless esthetic with thoughtful, aging-in-place features to support independent living for many years.
“Our team carefully selected durable, premium finishes and integrated abundant storage solutions for a sophisticated space that is as beautiful as it is functional,” the company says. It blends warm, natural materials, layered lighting and ergonomic design for a space that is welcoming and comfortable for effortless everyday living and hosting gatherings.
Lagois Design·Build·Renovate: renovation and addition
This family home underwent a transformation focused on enhancing comfort, functionality and style for the entire household, says director of marketing Emma Kwan. The centrepiece of the project was a new primary suite addition, creating a private retreat for the homeowners while keeping them connected to their children’s bedrooms.
“We chose this project because it beautifully demonstrates how a thoughtfully designed addition can blend seamlessly with an existing home, making it feel as though it has always been there.”
The home is a finalist in this fall’s Housing Design Awards.
RND Construction: custom home
Built on a challenging corner lot, this home was designed around privacy, mature trees and neighbourhood requirements. An L-shaped layout creates a private courtyard, while preserving the existing garage footprint helped maximize the home’s potential. The result is a contemporary family home that performs about 52 per cent more efficiently than a code-compliant natural gas home.
“This home is an excellent example of how thoughtful design, sustainability and everyday functionality can work together,” says RND founder Roy Nandram. “As a certified net zero, all-electric custom home, it demonstrates that exceptional energy performance can be achieved without sacrificing comfort, style or livability.”
The home is a multiple finalist in this fall’s Housing Design Awards, including being in the running for the All Things Home People’s Choice Award.
Showrooms
Accurate Stairs and Railings
The Accurate Stairs and Railings showroom is filled with inspiring displays, materials, finishes and ideas to bring your project to life, the company says. “(We are) your real-life Pinterest board for custom stairs and railings.”
Laurysen Kitchens
Walking through Laurysen’s new, award-winning showroom “is a journey of discovery,” says CEO Caroline Castrucci. Completed last year, the tour provides the perfect opportunity to introduce the new Ottawa location to homeowners and industry professionals, “making it the ideal event to showcase our space and the products and services we offer,” she says.
The showroom, which won for best large showroom in North America at the National Kitchen and Bath Association awards, features several kitchens, bathrooms, closets and more.
